It gives me a wide space for a visual interpretation to work on the Italian poet Eugenio Montale's collection of poems 'Ossi di seppia' (Cuttlefish Bones). He recreates both his external landscape and his internal world through visual images. This imagery in 'Ossi di seppia' is influenced by the environs of the Ligurian coast, which greatly resembles the surroundings of the little Dalmatian island that my father hails from as well as the surrounding islands.
