Living in Colombo, and coming from the Mediterranean, gave me an opportunity to explore different cultural patterns, blending together the sounds and pictures I experienced in Asia and those I remember from my place of origin.

My work here presents images of architectural forms, free-standing edifices and urban design as a constant of human definition of space. These objects are a part of my study of human history as they provide a concrete basis for ideas of the space we live in. Their preservation demonstrates a recognition of the importance of the past and the narration derived from it. I examine urban life as a constant of human cultural heritage through a deconstruction of city life.
